Limited Warranty Policy

This Limited Warranty applies to Sidephone hardware products purchased directly from sidephone.com and delivered within the United States.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary by state.


1. Country of Purchase Limitation

This Limited Warranty is valid only for products:

  • Purchased directly from Sidephone in the United States, and

  • Delivered within the United States.

Warranty service may not be available for products taken outside the United States.

Separate regional warranty terms may apply in other jurisdictions.


2. Warranty Coverage Period

Sidephone warrants that its hardware products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal intended use for:

One (1) year from the date of delivery, as confirmed by carrier tracking.

Included accessories (such as charging cables or adapters) are covered for 90 days or the remainder of the device warranty period, whichever is shorter.

The warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable unless required by law.


3. Immediate Defects on Arrival (DOA)

Customers must inspect products upon delivery.

Any product that appears defective, damaged, or incorrect on arrival must be reported within 7 days of delivery.


4. What the Warranty Covers

This Limited Warranty covers:

  • Manufacturing defects in materials

  • Manufacturing defects in workmanship

  • Hardware malfunctions under normal intended use consistent with Sidephone documentation and guidelines


5. What the Warranty Does Not Cover

This Limited Warranty does not cover:

Normal Use and Wear

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Cosmetic damage that does not affect functionality

  • Reduction in battery capacity due to normal aging

  • Pixel defects within industry tolerance standards

Misuse and External Causes

  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, negligence, or accidents

  • Drops, impacts, or physical damage

  • Liquid exposure beyond product specifications

  • Exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, or environmental conditions

  • Electrical surges or external power issues

  • Use inconsistent with Sidephone instructions or guidelines

Unauthorized Modifications

  • Unauthorized repairs, disassembly, or modifications

  • Rooting, bootloader unlocking, or installation of unauthorized firmware or software

  • Use with unauthorized accessories or components

Software and Services

  • Software errors, interruptions, or compatibility issues

  • Third-party applications, networks, or services

  • Failure to install publicly available software updates

Other Exclusions

  • Lost or stolen products

  • Products with removed or altered serial numbers

  • Products purchased from unauthorized sellers

  • Damage occurring during shipment to Sidephone

  • Commercial or non-consumer use (unless explicitly approved)

Warranty claims resulting from failure to operate the product according to Sidephone’s published usage guidance are not covered.


6. Warranty Remedies

If a valid warranty claim is confirmed, Sidephone may, at its sole discretion:

  1. Repair the product using new or refurbished parts

  2. Replace the product with a new or refurbished unit

  3. Replace the product with a comparable or substitute model

  4. Provide a refund or store credit equal to the original purchase price

Sidephone reserves the right to provide monetary reimbursement instead of replacement when replacement units are unavailable or impractical.

Replacement devices:

  • May not be the same edition, color, or limited version originally purchased

  • May include refurbished components

  • Will be functionally equivalent to the original product

Refunds provided under warranty will not exceed the original purchase price paid.


7. Limited Edition or Discontinued Products

If the original product or edition is unavailable:

  • Sidephone may provide a comparable substitute product, or

  • Provide a refund or store credit equal to the original purchase price

Customers are not entitled to upgraded or newer models beyond what is necessary to resolve the warranty claim.


8. Warranty Claim Requirements

To initiate a warranty claim, contact:

You may be required to provide:

  • Proof of purchase

  • Order number

  • Serial number or device identifier

  • Description of the issue

  • Photos or videos demonstrating the problem

  • Confirmation of troubleshooting steps

Sidephone may require return of the product for inspection before providing warranty remedies.

Products returned without authorization may be refused.


9. Shipping for Warranty Service

If a warranty claim is approved:

  • Sidephone will provide shipping instructions or a prepaid shipping label when appropriate

  • Customers must follow provided instructions

Customers are responsible for securely packaging the product.

Sidephone is not responsible for damage occurring during shipment to our facility due to inadequate packaging.


10. Replacement Warranty Period

Repaired or replacement products are covered for the remainder of the original warranty period or 90 days, whichever is longer.

Replacements do not extend the original warranty period unless required by law.

Replaced products or parts become the property of Sidephone.


11. Out-of-Warranty Service

Sidephone may offer paid repair, replacement, or service options for products outside the warranty period, subject to parts availability and service feasibility.

Repair timelines may vary depending on component availability and operational factors.


12. Data Responsibility

Customers are responsible for backing up and removing all personal data before submitting a product for service.

Repair or replacement may result in loss of data. Sidephone is not responsible for any data loss or recovery costs.


13. Abuse and Fraud Prevention

Sidephone reserves the right to deny warranty service if:

  • Fraudulent claims are suspected

  • Serial numbers do not match records

  • Products show signs of tampering

  • Warranty requests are abusive or excessive


14. Relationship to Return Policy

Returns requested within the applicable return window are governed by the Return Policy.

This Limited Warranty applies after the return window expires or where issues fall outside return eligibility.


15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Sidephone’s total liability under this warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price paid for the product.

  • Sidephone is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of data, loss of use, or lost profits.

Some states do not allow limitations on incidental or consequential damages, so these limitations may not apply to you.


16. Disclaimer of Implied Warranties

To the extent permitted by law:

Any implied warranties, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are limited to the duration of this Limited Warranty.

Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so this limitation may not apply to you.


17. Policy Changes

Sidephone reserves the right to modify this Limited Warranty at any time.

Changes apply only to products purchased after the updated effective date.
