Caution: Replacing the battery is a delicate process, and doing it incorrectly can permanently damage the device or affect your ability to charge Sidephone safely.
If you feel as though your device is not performing adequately, and it is within the warranty window, please reach out to support before attempting to repair the product.
Sidephone contains a 2000mAh battery as shown below:
The outer shell of the device is affixed using clips that can be pried using a wedge or similar from all clip locations simultaneously. Sharp objects may damage the outer paint.
Optional: Carefully remove the undercarriage of the device to have more maneuverability.
To replace the battery, gently pull both tabs. If the battery does not release, do not force the tabs. Instead, remove the undercarriage and attempt to verify if the battery has had any additional glue or adhesive applied that may need to be gently warmed.
The connector used to affix the battery to the device must be handled with extreme care.
The new battery can be gently dropped into place, and the steps above can be repeated in reverse to re-assemble the device.
Do not replace Sidephone's battery with any aftermarket battery or connect it to another power supply.
